Super Angel 5500 vs.  Omega J8005 Masticating Juicer Review

Juicers for leafy greens are not always the fastest juice extractor models in the market. It will definitely take more than just fast processing when one is dealing with these kinds of produce. The secret of course is in the design of the power juicer. It should be designed well enough to work on small thin fibers.

I have been juicing for years now and I think I’ve seen my fair share of different juicer models. I have also read a good deal of juicer reviews in my search for the best juicer model that I could find. Juicing has become more than just a hobby for me and since I want to make it a way of life I wanted to get the best product that I can use.

I also wanted to get the extracts from all sorts of produce and not just the usual fruits and vegetables. I soon found out that some juice extractors do a far better job on leafy greens than others. I am happy to present a juicer review that compares the two best extractors I found that does a very good job on leafy greens and produce that’s hard to handle – such as wheatgrass for instance.

I’ll be doing a side by side comparison of the Super Angel 5500 Stainless Steel Living Juice Extractor – Super Heavy Duty Juicer and the Omega J8005 Nutrition Center Single-Gear Commercial Masticating Juicer.

All I can say is that this machine packs some serious raw extraction power. I haven’t seen a pulp as dry as the one that comes out of this juicer. Of the two juicers mentioned in this review, this one makes more juice – even for wheatgrass and other kinds of leafy greens.

• Easy to Use

Another plus for this Angel juicer is the fact that it is an uncomplicated machine. It’s easy to take apart for cleaning and a lot easier to put together as well.

• Cleaning is a Breeze

Cleaning is not actually an issue with the Super Angel 5500. As stated earlier, I can easily disassemble this juicer, clean it, and put it together in only a few minutes.

This quality product is actually one of my favorite pieces of kitchen accessories. Other than just being able to extract a lot of stuff from different vegetables or fruits, it can also do a lot of other things like grinding nuts, food processor, homogenizer, and extruding pasta.

• Great on Wheatgrass and Leafy Greens

Since I wanted to try leafy greens, I wasted no time to test this Omega Juicer. I was not disappointed with the results and this particular juicer masticating juicer easily became one of my favorites.

THE VERDICT: Juicers for Leafy Greens

I really like both of these juicer models. But for this particular category, I will have to say that the Super Angel 5500 is the better model. It produces more juice thus I believe it is the best of the many juicers for leafy greens.

Omega J8003 and the Lexen Electric Healthy Juicer Review

In our search for the best juicer with homogenizer, we envisioned it as a multi-purpose device. Its primary purpose should be that of a masticating juicer, of course. We thought that it should perform well in that department. After that, this juicer candidate should have other capabilities such as mixing and grinding. On top of that it should also perform well as a homogenizer.

We looked around to find the best juicer that would fit the above mentioned criteria. As usual, we also checked different juicer reviews to see what everyone was using. We were also hoping to find a product that no one else thought of using and perhaps we can recommend that in case it fit the bill.

We found two interesting products – one is quite popular while the other one still needs some more catching up. We’re talking about the Omega J8003 Nutrition Center Single-Gear Commercial Masticating Juicer, White and the not so popular Lexen Electric Healthy Juicer (model GP62).

The Omega J8003 is one of the juicers out there that does a pretty good work on wheatgrass. It is listed as equipped with a single phase induction motor. With that, it does a pretty good job on one of the toughest produce. We thought that if this masticating juicer does well with wheatgrass, then it should do better on other types of produce. Well, we were not disappointed with that theory. We tried juicing hard produce like carrots for instance and this juicer did quite a good job.

• Other Features

We found the other features of this Omega juicer to be quite satisfactory. The overall construction is good, standard quality actually according to our taste. We also tried making both soy milk and also minced herbs just to see if it can deliver what it promised. It did quite well, but we wished it could come up with more yield. Oh, it came up with a satisfactory yield – we just wished it would have come up with more.

Lexen Electric Healthy Juicer Main Selling Points

Aside from its cosmetic appeal, this Lexen juicer is outfitted with a pretty good motor. We also tried wheatgrass on it and it did a good job as well. However, it didn’t come up with as much yield as the Omega juicer. Given the price, motor, and basic performance, we think it’s a good alternative if you have a bit of a budget constraint.

• Other Features

The manufacturer lists this product as one of the masticating juicers that works like a food processor.  It also lists nut butters as one of the things it can handle. So we tried hard nuts on it. Well, the unit was able to handle it but it wasn’t absolutely satisfactory. Long story short, we ended up a bit disappointed in the end.

We give the Omega J8003 Juicer a thumb up in this comparative juicer review. It outperformed the competition on several levels. We think it’s a good bet for best juicer with homogenizer.

The juicer with easiest clean up is a product that ranks high in many juicer reviews. Hard core juicing nuts tend to juice fruit after fruit and vegetable after vegetable. Since we’re particularly looking for easy clean up our vote for the juicer with easiest clean up goes to Omega J8006.
